What happens on my child's birthday?

Ms Chen and Miss Felton celebrate birthdays in the classroom with a birthday song, crown and small gift. Many parents ask if they may bring a birthday treat, and the answer is yes! Your birthday boy/girl may bring a treat to share with the class that is NUT FREE, and Ms Chen and Miss Felton will ensure the treat is distributed at recess. If you need to bring the treat in, please email and coordinate with the teachers so that learning time is not interrupted. Thank you!

Class Parties

Throughout the year, we will have some class parties and celebrations. Usually we have a Halloween party, Christmas party, Valentine's Day party and an end of year Summer party. In addition we have language Wonder Days and other fun learning opportunities. Where possible, these celebrations occur on a Friday morning, and are run by a group of parent volunteers (you!). Please stay informed about when these events will be happening and help out if possible!

Volunteering

Ms Chen and Miss Felton rely on parent help throughout the year with a variety of tasks such as material preparation, reading group supervision and supply provision. Usually the classroom coordinator will liase with parents to ensure there is enough help in each area. Please help where possible and support the coordinator in this role. We really appreciate it!
